What is Robotics teaching?

Educational Robotics is a discipline that aims to generate learning environments based primarily on student activity. That is, they can design, develop and implement various projects that allow them to solve problems and provides them at the same time, some learning.
Educational Robotics has developed a perspective approach to the solution of problems arising from different areas of knowledge such as mathematics, natural sciences and experimental technology and information science and communication, among others. One of the most interesting factors is that the integration of different areas occurs naturally.
In this innovative learning environment students spend most time simulating phenomena and mechanisms, designing and building micro prototypes are representations of reality surrounding technology, or are his own inventions.

Educational Robotics is the discipline that seeks to potentiate the attractiveness of learning for learners by creating a learning environment that allows them to integrate different disciplines such as mathematics, physics, logic, computer science, electronics and mechanics, making and the organization of thought through the design, development and programming robots.
The creation of robots in education centers originates from the need to innovate the teaching-learning process and also encourage thinking processes such as creativity, analysis, logic, including the students.
Students are not only able to assemble a machine but to schedule your actions for the purpose of academic and scientific content, as they must understand the why of things, the impact of decisions made and how to present their ideas and understanding of others.

In recent years many researchers from different countries have created a new discipline: educational robotics, in order to exploit the desire of students to interact with a robot promote cognitive processes.
Martial Vivet proposes the following definition of educational robotics: The activity of designing, building and commissioning, training purposes, objects technology that are very faithful reproductions reduced and significant processes and tools robotics that are used daily, especially in the industrial environment.
Given the above definition, we recognize that the first activity within the educational robotics is charged with studying the process of conceiving, designing and building robotic mechanisms.

Programmed to have complete free will, however, not all of Kleigen's Pedagogic Robots went on to pursue careers in academia; a group of KPRs founded a robot/human free-love commune on Despina, while another became lead singer with the superstar Jovian-metal band Technetium Mother.
